Stephen Curry is brutally open about the disoriented state in which Dubs are located

Stephen Curry, Warriors

The Golden State Warriors was arguably the best team in the NBA. But over the last two weeks, things have changed drastically. Stephen Curry and company have lost 4 of their last 5 games. It’s by far the worst stretch of the season for them, and it’s exactly what Curry and the Warriors expected.

“We always talk about breaking this into three seasons. Getting off to a good start, and waiting for Klay and Wise to get back. In this period we’re in right now, we have to make those adjustments, and continue to try to get better…Then make a playoff push,” Curry told ClutchPoints.

The Dubs’ most recent defeat was at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks. It was a blowout where the Warriors lost 118-99. Klay Thompson played but Draymond Green was out with a calf injury. The Warriors looked lost from the start and the Bucks were ready. The Bucks scored 77 points in the first half and maintained a commanding lead the rest of the game.

The addition of Thompson has been fun to watch, but it’s a lot of work for the team. Everything changes, so the chemistry is off a little. But, it will all be worth it in the end. The more reps Thompson gets the more he will feel like himself. Then James Wiseman will start the same process.

If the Warriors finish out the year 25-16, they would be a 55-win team. So even though the team appears to be struggling at the moment they’re all about the long run. Right now things are going just as they planned.
